For the last few days I've had a sore tongue, mostly towards the tip. No sores, visible blemishes, or major discoloring. Just sore to the touch.

Any thoughts?

Small canker sore I bet. I get them occasionally, and you can't see anything, but it is just sore to the touch. They usually go away on their own, try not to bite it

If you drank something hot pretty fast that can make things tender. Mine usually go away after a couple days or so.

I get cankers occasionally on the tip of the tongue. Pretty annoying, but nothing to be worried about.

    TONGUE CANCER.

But seriously, just sounds like a canker sore. Annoying, but not much you can do about them. Try swishing some warm (warm, not hot) water with salt in it around your mouth (especially the part of your tongue that hurts), this often numbs the pain.
