Much appreciated. I'm sure I'll start doing some more dynamic poses at some point soon, but right now I'm just doing straightforward studies to better understand how different armor looks, and work.
I think you should combine your deadly phallus monsters with your knights.

I'm definately getting some Beserk vibes from the monsters but they are different enough that I don't really know why i'm getting those vibes.
Really awesome stuff and the flaws are minor (could use some darker darks but they dont' look all that bad to begin with) and that warrior woman has some manish hands (which you could argue comes from her use of the weapon I suppose)
Oh man. These make me uncomfortable and frightened in all the right ways. Seriously awesome stuff.
Not sure if I like the fur-like hair on the amazon chick though. It works on... 'hilda'?? But I don't know if it's as sucessful on the woman as she looks human except for her hair.

Tam - Oh, how I wish that were possible. You have no idea.
Tim - Thanks.
RubberAC - Way to go and spoil the big surprise.
Nap - I'm glad that you're getting some Berserk vibes. I've said it many times before, but Kentaro Miura is one of my favorite artists, and probably my biggest influence in art.
Koch - I appreciate that. Both of those are Hilda actually. The first is her in human-like form, while the other is her transformed Lich form.
Mustang - Way off. Never even saw the giant squid alien from Watchmen up until a week ago. I can see the resemblance though.
Flay - Thanks, man.
Just tinkering around with different variations on a creature design. It's possibly a design for one of my Liches, Simon. The little person is just there for scale.
totally diggin bottom-middle and top-right. or the hands from bottom-middle on bottom-left.

Updates!!
Got a couple of WIP, which means I'm totally up for some crits and suggestions.
Worked a little more on Armilus here.
Rotterdam, the Bloody Wing Lich. I'm sure that somebody will notice that his torso and thighs are elongated, making him look a little disproportional, but that was intentional. I liked the idea, and thought it made his body look a little more unique. I'm just wondering if it comes across, or if it looks more like I don't know anatomy...
Also, he has weird muscles.
I decided that I wasn't particular to any one of the six designs I did in the last post. Instead I took what little I liked from a couple of them and used that as a spring board for a new design. I think I like the feel of this one more more.

His cock is both impressive and terifying.
I can't say I'm loving the anatomy on the second, but that's just a personal thing.
All in all though Buck, you're winning the shit out of this.

Ya see? Now you people just expect everything from me to be a penis. It's actually just a long, loose flap of skin hanging down. So its more like a natural loin cloth.

for the last picture in your other update (with the quad-armed natural loincloth guy) his face is the least terrifying thing about him. He seems to have a bit of a "oh happy days" look going on that isn't happy/ crazy enough to be disturbing. I'd say either make his face look angrier or crazier.
Damnit, you're dragging me out of a nice long lurking spree for this...
The happy-days look on the last design's face is exactly why I find him so unnerving.
It's like you could almost imagine it was human at some point. I think it works as is.
Maybe just me, but he's got all these nifty alien/monster bits, and then very human plain arms, albeit an extra pair at the elbows. Not sure if that makes it cooler or whether it'd be better with different hands/arms.
But all in all, you rock Buck. Your creatures are always so well constructed; they look less like something you imagined up and more like something from a crazy science experiment.

You have a point about the arms Astorite. I'll tinker around with them.
I love you so much Buck. Definitely keep the people arms on the first one- the contrast to its other parts enhances the nightmarish grotesqueness of it.
you are definitely my favorite new lovecraftian horror artist

I find sexy ugly women to be deeply disturbing and confusing.

I think for the "happy days" guy, his head doesn't really fit the rest of his body... I feel like, whatever head goes on that body, should come forward and extend past his chest to keep with the balance of his body.
By all means, keep that head because I definately think it belongs somewhere. I'm just not sure if it belongs on that character.
I still don't know how the fuck his arms are supposed to function
Awesomely

I need to stop posting WIPs, and actually finish something for once.
That being said, here's another WIP...
EDIT: Eh, fuck it. I'll include a brief character description on this one.
Klaus here is basically an above average necromancer, and disciple of Simon, the Second Lich (he's the only Lich that I haven't given a nickname/title to). Early on in the history of man, for the universe I've been writing over the past five years, there was a major decisive battle that took place. Essentially it was between the forces of man, and their enemies, the Old Gods by proxy. The sort of representatives, or proxies, of the Old Gods, are the Lich. The Lich being powerful, loyal necromancers endowed with even further substantial power from the Old Gods themselves. In this particular great battle, the Lich Simon endowed four of his most powerful, and competent disciples with power beyond that of a normal necromancer, as the Old Gods did for him. Klaus was one of these four. Although his power is nothing compared for that of the Lich, it is still beyond that of what a normal human could ever reach.
Not only was his power augmented, but his physical form as well. The extra left hand sprouting from his neck covers his mouth, instead of lips or cheeks which are lacking. Without something to bind or block his exposed mouth, he would continually project a powerful magic blast, in the form of a high pitch scream, that distorts space, and even spells. Essentially, when his mouth is left uncovered, he fucks shit up without even meaning to.
The bulk of that probably doesn't make sense, given the lack of context, but as I post more, and more it'll start to come together. I hope. Granted this is probably one of the poorest places to make introduction to the basic story arch(s). It's just that it suddenly dawned on me that all of my drawings are completely lacking in context and continuity to anyone save for myself.

It would be better if I'd actually finish the fucking thing, but thanks just the same. I think I get distracted too easily. His head is shaped like a horseshoe crab!

I'm still pretty partial to the head, so I'm reluctant to change it...
These legs are sure pissing me off though.
