Communications technology is crazy too, going from taking months to send a letter from one side of the world to the other to being able to communicate with people all over the world nearly instantly. Just think about these forums - you're often having communications with people from all corners of the world as if they're in the same room. Totally ridiculous to tell someone that 200 years ago.
