I was in Blick this past Saturday close to closing time when I heard this song. There were female backing vocals and a male lead, and he'd sing "I love you" but he did it in a long wailing, painful way. It sounded 70s ish, it's slow and I can only remember that part right now. Sorry, I don't have much to go on, but does anyone have any possible leads? It sounded acoustic and the drums were being beaten pretty freakin' hard.
Also, side note: Kimya Dawson...what is she? I know it doesn't matter, but I'm curious about this kind of thing. Is she Black, mixed? Jamaican? Spanish?

2) her wiki page gives no info on this, other than her brother's name in swahili means "chief"
Nah, it was a slow song...really, really depressing.
if I went to BLICK do you guys think they might be able to point me in the right direction?
2.) I know her name is also Swahili. I saw a family photo and I would say they were Spanish with African influence (like I know in Puerto Rico where my family is from they have White Spanish and Black Spanish, but other places they're like Afro-Cuban, etc so I don't know the correct terminology per se).
