Heyllo, i got a huge problem with my LCD, its a Sony SDM-HS93 19", but now after almost 3 years, its starting to give off these horrible green flashing lines over the colors, especially the blacks, this is anooying as hell, games look horrible when this happens.

i hope you guys can help.

    Have you tried hooking it up to another computer to reproduce the problem? It is possible it is a video card issue and not a monitor issue.

    no, its not the video card, i also though that, but i switched video cards not too long ago, and the problem was the same.

    im pretty sure its the monitor, maybe its getting bad connection inside ? dust ? shit, im clueless.

    I would try swapping out cables too. If it is the monitor I think you are basically boned. I am not sure there is much you could do besides chuck a broken monitor. Maybe someone else has a better idea...

    If you are sure that it isn't your video card and not the cable, then I would say it is time for a new monitor. It sounds like there is either a bad connection somewhere, or a bad piece of hardware. If either of those problems are in the monitor itself, there isn't really anything you can do to fix it.
