This may be the first time I've picked up a game, come home did a search here in the pa forums and NOTHING.

None of you silly bastards are playing this? Its pretty damn fun! Even online play is pretty solid once you get accustomed to people throwing dirt balls 90% of the time.

I'm playing it on ps3 and controls seem solid also. Gonna go start my third baseman on the road to the show now as a matter of fact.

To be honest I don't think I've played a sports game since the NES era.

Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because fuck you is why.

I still play MLB 08, I'm kinda iffy on whether to spend the money to import this one. If there's enough differences to warrant it.

My friend and I played MLB '08 to death for months last year...and yet the single player made me grind my teeth in fury.

That game was so goddamn home run happy it utterly destroyed the single player experience for me. I'm not just talking about seeing home runs from players you expect ( Ryan Howard, Pujols, A-rod, etc ), it would be 3/4 of the team blasting long balls into the parking lot.

Hope they curbed that back this year.

Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver.
    Situation excellent. I am attacking.

I'm doing a RTTS as a starting pitcher, and it's pretty addictive. I spent three seasons in the minors, but am now the #4 starter for the St Louis Cardinals (Pujols left for Boston by the time I got called up, but the Cards have added Halladay, Guerrero, McLouth, Brian Roberts, and Youkilis).

The big leagues are pretty tough, since my guy isn't really a strikeout pitcher (sinker/slider guy), and mistakes are much more frequently turned into homers (my HR/9 has pretty much quadrupled). But I still have a winning record so far.

MLB has consistently been the best baseball game out every year. I got 08 last year, so I don't think I'll be getting 09 this year, but it's definitely worth picking up.
