Dawn of War: DC save file help

Yes, as in DoW1. I just installed it on my new computer (until I get to DoWII) and I've got the Profiles file from my old computer that contains my profiles and saves from before, but in my new game it doesn't seem to recognize the data in my saves so I can continue my campaigns.
Any ideas where files need to go or any other files I may need to transfer over as well?
I basically just took the Profiles folders from my old DoW and DC folders and put them in the same place. Am I missing a step?

    up to date on the patches? or, more importantly, are you patched to the version that you were playing previously [which may not necessarily be up to date]
