I am getting a FragFX2, and was wondering if anyone has any good suggestion for games on the PS3 that can be played primarily with the mouse. I know a tonne of games will support it, but I am not that familiar with the PS3 library. I am hoping CivRev supports it.
In particular, games that my mum could play (ie not too violent).
Since the mouse emulates the right stick, I think it may very well be hard, unless you can swap. Then I'd suggest Lumines, any racing game, or some of the other puzzle games
I first thought of the Orange box, probably just for portal. But she has already played that on her PC (but would probably appreciate on her nice big telly from her sofa).
i use my mouse/keyboard with UT III (my comp is shitty) and it works just dandy on the ps3. However that game is ultra violent.
This is something else, it's a third party controller that works like a mouse/joystick configuration that people like on PC games, designed to allow PC gamers to play on a console, with minimal fiddling with more control learning

I haven't gotten a PS3 game yet that can do this. How does it work with mouse/keyboard, you just plug them into the PS3 and the game allows you to use them instead? If so, why would you buy a product like this FragFX2 instead?

Because not all games support mouse and keyboard, and people love to buy things that do not work as advertised. Seriously, these adaptors to let you use a mouse are never responsive enough to work properly. You're emulating how far the stick is pushed, not using a proper mouse, it's always terrible.

If your PS3 is BC, Myst 3 supports a Usb mouse (PS 2 version of the game)

I have the FragFx2 that LewieP says he's getting and that's pretty much how it's worked so far with the games I've tried it with. Basically the Right analogue stick is just remapped to the mouse, so it's not as responsive as a real mouse is. I've only tried it with a few games though, I plan to rent a few FPS games after I move (this weekend) though, and see how it works with them. So far the only FPS I've tried it with is Resistance 1.
Compared to a regular mouse on my PC, it's pretty terrible. Compared to the regular PS3 controller it's amazing, at least for me with fps games which I always have trouble with on standard controllers.
