researching reference images of old New York City apartments.
Hey guys, i've been trying to find references of interior shots of old styles NYC apartments (for a project at university) but can't find any good images (extreamly low res, or aweful compositions). I've tried looking on sales websites, but the majority of apartments are in the $$$millions$$$, which is a little too modern for my research. So does anyone know a good website for reference shots of architecture, lighting/mood, styles etc. which i can base my work from? Or possibly, if any NYers have the time to upload a few snaps they might have, that would be sweet!
Just if anyones interested...
i'm designing backgrounds for a fictional 2d adventure game, set in NYC 1930s. the apartments references are needed to design an illustration of the main characters apartment, and i need reference shots to make it as believable as possible
Go get a bunch of gangster movies set and shot in the period. Even if it is in Chicago or San Francisco it should be quite close. Hell even by the time of I Love Lucy the apartments havn't changed all that much so you could get a lot off of nick at night or whatever that's shown on now.

it's a blog for brooklyn brownstone/coop apartment living... and they particularly love old houses, with lots of original detail, etc.
