About how long would be 'proper' to wait for the girl to email me before I contact her instead?
2-3 days.
This sounds good. Also, Yal, is there a reason you didn't exchange phone numbers instead?
The biggest reason is just that I have no guarantee of my phone functioning on a day-to-day basis. I'm on a pay-as-you-go plan and money's tight, so often there's no pay, and thus no go.
I decided to get batman year 1 along with men at arms, jingo and the fifth elephant.
Probably not a good idea getting all these books so close to exams.
They are fantastic books though, good choices. I have the entire guards series along with a couple of others. They are by far the best though, just better and better the more you read them, although they haven't really done enough with Carrot for my liking, as he's become a bit of a tertiary character.
The Brent Weeks and Joe Abercrombie books are fantastic though and I need someone else to read them so they can agree with me.
I might pick those up then during the summer, be good for when I am going to be travelling a lot.

So Mirror's Edge keeps having elevator problems. The doors just won't open.
I swear, if this is their copy protection acting up even though I bought the damn game I'm going to shoot something.

Have you read Nightwatch yet? (I dunno when it came out so the question may be dumb.)
I'm teetering on a line with Than, I'm guessing he'll either infract me, do something horrible to my profile, or steal the [chat].
you are just mad because i once accidently stole your chat but it was funny.
Than gave you my [chat], and I have not forgotten the dark and violent maw into which I stared that day. After a while... It stared back at me!
if i gave you hookers and blackjack would you forgive me?
He's not only living in the future, but he's also a bending robot? Wow. Joh's getting more and more fantastical as this [chat] goes on.
Hey baby, wanna kill all humans?
Actually it's 'Hey sexy mama, wanna kill all humans?'.
Aaaah, I remember now.
I think the robot devil is one of my favorite characters in the show. Damn, I love me some futurama, it's so much better than the Simpsons. Fucking Fox.

Ron - Your sig reminds me of that weird Link song I heard (and memorized) back at UH.

"I think you should figuratively make a deal with the Devil. And by 'Devil' I mean 'Robot Devil'. And by 'figuratively' I mean 'get your coat'."
Still makes me chuckle.

The Robot Devil's ok. I think I like Farnsworth the best.
Ok, less than a minute left. Bye-bye [chat]. Be good to each other.

The discworld books I have read so far are Small Gods, Guards Guards!, Feet of Clay, Nightwatch and I just finished Thud! today.
It's hard to choose which one of those are my favourite at the moment.
Did I ever tell the story about the time I was in a college lecture and the professor passed around a sex education book from Sweden as an example of questionable child pornography, and it was totally the same one sitting on the bookshelf at my mom's house that I had grown up learning about sex from?
I don't think that's what she wants from me. The events in question simply don't follow the established rules and this school's social-shit is very thoroughly rule-based.

* Guards! Guards! 1989
* Men at Arms 1993
* Feet of Clay 1996
* Jingo 1997
* The Fifth Elephant 1999
* The Truth 2000
* Night Watch 2002
* Monstrous Regiment 2003
* Thud! 2005
These are the only ones you need to read. Vetinari is awesome in Jingo, and I have never read Monstrous Regiment as I didn't know it was a Guards book.... hmmm..

Then focus on things other than her being hot, yeah?
Is she also a pleasant person when your eyes are closed and your cock in your pants?

The hot is the part that breaks the rules, though, and no one breaks the rules here. Without the hot her being nice to me would be pretty much normal.

Wee Free Men
they're out of order there but they're excellent.
Actually most of the Granny Weatherwax books are good as well.
I really enjoyed Wee Free Men actually. I really have no problem with reading books way too young for me, I just read them very quickly as a short bit of escapism.

Ahh, makes sense then.

Because that definitely happened.
If I'm entitled to two absurdhot girlfriends surely you can have one.
Buck up my fine fellow, allow yourself a bit of confidence.
Don't fuck it up.
Date set and everything. It's on!
G-string that looks like an elephant's face? Check.

Maybe she's one of the crazy ones.
Crazy girls are fun.
Good, because I remember reading that it wasn't one of the better books he's done.
Only for fucking. I'm not fucking anyone.
They get a lot crazier after you fuck them.

Or they just stop in the middle and go cry in a corner for no reason. Russian roulette is a stupid game.
I've never had sex with my crazy girl and she's still incredibly fun and awesome.
Wait? What? Did you play Russian Roulette with your penis instead of a gun or something? :P
I really enjoyed Wee Free Men actually. I really have no problem with reading books way too young for me, I just read them very quickly as a short bit of escapism.
I read this as absurdist girlfriends and I was like "hell yeah!" but then I read it again and was like "oh. "
Well one of the absurdhot girls is absurd and the other is an artist and could probably use the absurdist style if I sexed her up enough.
