A few years back I bought a copy of Capitalism 2 after I tried the demo and enjoyed it. I was surprised to find that it's actually been one of my favourite games over the years since then, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a similar game, or for that matter any business-type games. They're a little thin on the ground these days.
One of the things which I particularly liked about Cap 2 was its open ended nature - it wasn't an "X Tycoon" game where you were fairly limited in what you could do or sell - you could go into a fairly huge range of businesses.
It's an MMO with space ships but it has a completly player driven economy and afaik being a "business man" is a viable way to play the game.
It's very hardcore, though. I couldn't get into it.

find druglord or one of the million druglord clones? Supply and Demand at its very essence.
edit: oh yeah, good idea on the EVE Online. If you play it as a miner or a merchant then it really is just druglord. . . in space. . . and instead of selling illegal narcotics you're selling space rocks.
Hmm, thank you for the suggestions. I've tried EvE Online before, but i wasn't wildly taken by it. To be fair, I was trying to play it like a space shooter.
