Do you actually have ADD or ADHD at all?

Is this doctor based out of his Pink Floyd themed van?

if add exists, I have it. That or maybe pharmas are in bed with people who write the prescriptions.

For real though, parafunctional jaw movement is bad news and I need some tips if anyone has dealt w/ it

Does it happen at night? During the day? At all times? I grind my teeth while sleeping when I'm stressed so occasionally I wear a mouth guard that's like a plastic retainer that my dentist made for me.

From what you've said so far, it sounds like you have tics. My brother gets tics on Adderall too (his neck twitches... he doesn't even notice until his muscles are sore). You should talk to your doctor, who might decide to put you on a second drug like Clonidine that can lessen the tics and generally sort of dampens the effect of stimulants. That's what happened to my brother and he's fine now. My cousin had more severe tics, but was able to switch to another ADD med.

In the meantime, there are mouth guards you can buy over the counter and wear while sleeping, using the computer, etc, that will help lessen the pain and keep you from destroying your teeth with the grinding.

As stated above, it sounds like you have tics (which you can get with adderall)

But as Sev asked, where's the question? Is it at night? If it's at night you can get a mold for your teeth that will stop you from grinding your teeth.

As others have stated, there are three possible things you can do:

    - Reduce your Adderall dosage (or eliminate it entirely)
    - Take a second drug, a muscle relaxer or a sedative, to reduce the side effects
    - Wear a mouth guard at night

There aren't really any other options.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
