The topic is Salad. That leafy green delicious stuff that goes great with the dressing you eat.

All kinds of salad apply here.

I do request that you post your favorite types of salads, or information on how to make a particular salad you are fond of.

    There technically is a food thread. This is pretty much food thread 2.0: low carb edition.

    I like most every kind of salad! Excepting when there's tuna, I dislike fish entirely.

    also ++ to knowledge from one of the newer PA podcasts inwhich I finally learn the etymology for "salad days", i. e. "when I was green in my judgment, like salad".

    I love Cobb salads but pretty much anything with avocados it awesome

    Ness, I done learned somethin'! I had never thought to question the origin of that phrase.

    Inasmuch as it counts as a salad, I make Island Pork Tenderloin Salad every once and a while, and it is a fantastic recipe.

    I suppose when it's comes to preference I like spinach leaves a lot better than lettuce leaves when it comes to greenery.

    Oh God, I actually went to a Mexican restaurant on a double date once, and the other dude actually ordered a taco salad on that pretense. We all stared at him for about 10 seconds after he told us he was trying to "eat healthy."

    I don't really care for tomatoes just...on their lonesome, I guess, but they compliment a lot of foods that I like, like burgers, or when combined with greeneries and other stuff in salads. also ketchup on french fries.

    I like salad though. I had a spinach almond salad today for lunch. Felt good after all the hot pockets i had been eating. The dressing was tangy.. i loved it.

    what is the best dressing? other things being equal

    which I guess means you just have lettuce

    when I was a kid I refused to eat any salad without catalina dressing and I sort of hated newman's own

    but newman's own is pretty great.

    I agree it's usually an excellent choice and is quite versatile, but if you've got a salad with grilled fetus then it seems to me the fetus dressing is overkill

    My wife watches Everyday Italian with Giada de Laurentis religiously and one day one of the things she "made" was a quarter head of iceberg lettuce with bleu cheese dressing with pancetta (thick italian bacon) on top.

    Turns out that shit is delish.
