I'll spare the long-winded details and just get right into it, because I'm sure you've all had enough of really long explanations of stuff.
I've got this mate. I've known him for about 6 or 7 years now, and throughout that entire period of time he's never shown any outward signss of being gay or even bi. Like, at all. Nothing. No obvious clues.
But there's some stuff that's been going on recently that makes me doubt it. I'll start with the stuff that doesn't really indicate that he's either gay or that he likes me.
- He's started talking to me on MSN More. Now we talk on MSN a lot. Always have. But recently it seems that every time I sign on he's the first one to talk to me, whereas before it was just occasional small-talk when he didn't have anything to do.
- He's been taking a lot of opportunities recently to be shirtless around me. Whenever it's me, him, and all our other mates he doesnt, but quite often if it's just me and him hanging out together he will, at some point, take his shirt off.
And now we get to the much more obvious stuff:
- His internet history has quite a lot of gay porn sites on it. now don't get me wrong, I don't make a regular thing of checking my mate's history, but he went to the loo and i was just sat there and I'd always wondered what the hell he got up to that meant he barely ever left his computer, so I checked. And about 70% (at a rough guess) of the sites he'd visited in the past 24 hours of me checking were of the homosexually pornographic persuasion.
- Okay, this one's gonna tip the scales in my opinion. Me and my mates often make unbelievably stupid and ridiculous bets with one another over irrelevant things (classic example is Darry and Jase once seeing who could fit as many Rich Tea biscuits into their mouths and the loser had to buy the winner 3 cactuses). Anyway, a few months ago Gavin and I were on our own round his place, and he made this bet over who could watch porn the longest before getting a boner. It's the sort of bet that's too stupid to turn down, plus I'm a royal moron, so I agreed. I should have backed out when I heard the wager too. Loser had to suck the winner's dick.
Now in our history of idiotic wagers, sex stuff has never come up before. So this was a shock to say the least. The bigger shock was that I agreed, and subsequently lost, so I had to "fulfill my end of the bargain", which I did. About a week later, he made the same wager over a game of pool, so I agreed and lost again.
The blowjob wagers do seem to suggest he is gay, or maybe just bi, because I don't know of many straight guys that'd make a bet that would involve another guy sucking them off. And the gay porn on his history is also a very suspicious thing.
Also I should explain this guy does have a lot of random one-night-stands with random skanks he finds at bars or parties or street corners, or wherever else he looks for them. Now it might just be that he likes sleeping with a different chick every night as I've got this bit totally wrong but it seems like a textbook example of overcompensating for his possible homosexuality.

The fact that he, with no provocation, made a bet that would involve either you blowing him or him blowing you means he wants one of those two things to happen, but is too scared/nervous to flat out ask it. So he uses your group of friends' well-known habit of making weird bets with weird payoffs to get himself in that situation.
And the next stage is obvious but the aforementioned "getting my ass handed to me" scenario is putting me off pursuing that stage of action.
