f87 I really like the face and colour choice so far. Would love to see you starting to get a bit more detail in the forground. Having his legs hanging seems a little weird as a pose for a cowboy. Maybe put a rock under one of his feet or put them on the ground? Make him look more planted to the ground

I'm loving the feel of it, but the pose is as static as hell. He's holding onto that....candy bar? .....for dear life, it's gooey nougat center will no doubt spill onto his hands and make them all sticky with that kung-fu grip.
Also the toes should be feeling the pull of gravity and pointing downwards, if your going to keep the legs hanging like that.

F87- I think he's looking too young. I remember they really emphasized that this guy was up there in age. I think your guys looks like he's in his 30's.
What's with all the other cowboys all of a sudden?

Well, when a mommy cowboy and a daddy cowboy love each other very much.........
EDIT: God damnit America, you made me say mom, fuck you, your crazy spelling and your variety of fastfood outlets.......except ihop, always wanted to go to ihop and have me some pancakes.
LOL. this was put together for fun. I took my original pic of the john travolta i did, and decided to make a comic of, what if bruce willis came in and messed up the party? Great idea huh? :P Part 2 will be uploaded later!
This is the most confusing page of doodle thread that I have ever seen. Also Myk that is looking great, though I have to say that her ribcage is facing a different direction than her shoulders. It's making the everything below the feathers feel pretty awkward.
Is her the distance from her chin to her collar just a tad too long. It might be her arms are a little thin, giving the idea illusion that her body is really small. Other than those small, tiny, little dinks, the rendering of the face looks pretty.
I know i shouldnt really be giving crits on others work, hell, look at my pics above!
Thanks guys, but that's actually only preliminary brainstorming. As you can see, I've got some research to do on raptors. I went ahead and rendered it because I hadn't used my torchons in a while. The teeth are extremely awkward to place in a beaver costume.
Part 2 of my (now titled) Vincent Vega Chronicles. there is no text of colour at the moment. So youre not really spoiling anything since you dont understand the story and emotional feelings of the characters.
that's awesome as shit, but isn't he going to fall backwards?
Maybe if he was standing completely still. Could be in motion.
This is true.
Bombs, sir, you never answered my question. If you'll allow me to impose it upon you: Are the Doodle, Chat, and Questions threads all going to run to 100 pages now?

k, sent this out for the e-vite, now I get to give it a proper paint over to be used for the actual event
Hey Myk,
I think if you move her left hand (our right), so she is resting it on her stomach that would really balance the image out and help connect the top half of the image to the bottom. It would really depend on your ability to give it the same level of finish as the face but I think that would work nicely.

Tried colourising my crappy comic. Mainly a colour palette study. Kinda not working. Im trying to go for those old 30s/40s simple crude style. Kinda like those old Pulp Fiction comics.
WIP running animation. I decided 10 frames was a good number. I might need to beef up/straighten some limbs, but he at least appears to be moving in a realistic fashion.
Slowed down
Edit: It might be neat to make his hat flap on the "down" animations. I'll probably do that.

It needs more refinement all over, then I'm going to texture it up and make him more gritty.

I'd move the tracks to some point in the distance. The curve is way too sharp, and way too close to that mound of dirt he's sitting on.

can anyone offer some crits on this scene?

Given the date of that request has already past its second anniversary, I figured maybe I ought to get started.
Photoshop colors, before I go and totally fuck everything up by trying to do it in gouache.
Man working off designs you did 6 years ago sucks, if you sucked 6 years ago (like I did.) Man those feet would never work.

Speaking of robots, there aren't nearly enough robot doodles in this thread. Do you guys have something against robots or something?
