As much as I like the idea of having a bow it's harder to solo with one.

Yeah, bows aren't really that great at first due to not being able to chain attacks with them like you can a paddle. Once you do get three way shot, though, their effectiveness goes up quite a bit.

I like this game, but I'm not sure what I'm working towards. I mean, like am I just working towards awesome gear or do I get new skills or anything like that? I just sort of started, and I've never played a crystal chronicles before.

I guess the game's just not that popular. Which is too bad because once you get going into it it's pretty fun.

Once I found out how to upgrade my equipment with scrolls things really opened up. Just don't pick up a bow before level 21 as a Selkie.

As you level up you'll pick up skills abut equipment also levels up and some also confers abilities.

Oh, it's fun, but the netcode is just horrible. Which is a shame considering how platform intensive it is.

Yep, just caught back up with the story, felt bad because I was playing with someone too and got lost in where to go, forgot the rule of games, talk to everyone.

Really enjoying playing a Yuke now that I can lock two rings... makes it a lot more fun countering magic... I usually just set a raise ring in front of me to counter everything, and then use a double ring for damage

My buddy and I have been playing this the past few days. It's really fun, a bit short, but the best fun I have had with a MP DS game.

Does anyone have other suggestions for similar games?

No worries, I got it down from there, thanks to yuke spell staking, it just helped having someone show me how to get through these freaking puzzles. It was a pleasure playing with you, let me know if you want to play again.

Good luck. The puzzles we just did take a bit more time on your own. Plus those stupid poison fog rooms are stupid.

Last night while doing some complex puzzle in the mines:

me: Why am I in this room
friend: I like that you are questioning this now
me: *laugh for 10 min*
friend: *finishes the room, picks me up and continues to the next room*

The thing that sucks about multiplayer is that NPCs don't treat me like the hero. Some of the funniest dialogue arises from this. For instance in the

Ruined Village

"Who...kzzt...are...kzzt...you?"

On that note, the dialogue in general is fucking hilarious in the

Ruined Village

especially the group in the bottom left corner.
My friend narrated the entire village to me and I spent most of the time convinced he was lying to me until he would show me his DS over gchat. Brilliant.

I only wish it was longer. We are starting new game+ tonight I guess.

Single player really sucks. If you need help with some stuff don't be afraid to post here. I am still playing through new game+ now, but I can help with anything.

Really, single player is intolerable for me.
