You may have noticed there's been a lot of news lately about pirates hijacking ships and holding people for ransom.

Well they're at it again. Except this time, they messed with the wrong country.

Except this time, the pirates are holding the captain hostage.

Except this time, we freed the captain already, it's over.

    The crew is believed to be safe, and one pirate is in custody, the official said. It's unclear whether other pirates remain on board the ship or whether they have fled, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

    Am I the only one who finds the sequence of events fishy?

    I'm not saying that the sailors aren't bad dudes, but did we send Navy Seals in?

    It's just weird that so soon after, its now like "No, nevermind, no pirates here"

    I like that they get beaten on a ship carrying aid for people in eastern africa. So basically these Somalian pirates were stealing food and medical supplies that quite possibly will go to help people in Somalia.

    It just means that the crew somehow rallied and regained control of the ship, probably with the help of whatever security personnel they have; details just haven't been released yet

    also, I really hope we aren't going to have to explain to anyone in here why you should not root for pirates
