naw, there ain't really character development in Law and Order whereas this is a show where a dude is getting acclimated to being in the LA police force
but I've liked the...two? episodes I've seen of it

Jordyn and I picked it up like halfway through this season, so we only barely understand the overarching, running conspiracy plot thing. But even so, it is sooooo good.

holy shit the top play on sportscenter was maybe the most improbable thing I've ever seen
You can't say something like this and not post a link to a video
man I can't find it
but this junior high kid launches the ball from the far end of the court, it clangs off the back of the rim and pops up in the air, off camera
then you see the ball come back down, onto a cable that they apparently use to pull the hoops up? I dunno, but the ball rolls down the cable and into the net

Wait a second
This Life show sounds pretty cool
And it's been on for two seasons?
How have I never heard of it before right this moment

How could they not say!
If he won the game with that shot he should get his own giant bronze statue placed outside of his school for all to gaze upon
How have I never heard of it before right this moment
Because NBC was busy promoting The Bionic Woman and Knight Rider remakes. I hope Life comes back next season, but I doubt it will since NBC is basically giving up and turning 1/3 of their primetime schedule over to Jay Leno.
Southland was suprisingly good. With The Office and 30 Rock as lead-ins and the ER slot, hopefully it'll get enough viewers to get a full season.

there's really no place for it on NBC's schedule though, with Jay Leno taking that nine o'clock (central time zone represent) slot every weekday
you can't really air a show like this early unless it gets amazing ratings and I really doubt NBC's going to have that kind of success with anything

if the second episode is as good as the pilot this is officially going to depress me

this was pretty good though
well it's less a (shitty) police procedural and more of a crime drama.
i thought it was bizarre how they bleeped out all the bad words.
They did? I was surprised when I heard pussy.
it's nice that they're acknowledging that people in this situation would be cussin' like hell but it's weird to hear bleeps on network television
Didn't really think about it that way. They normally just avoid it.
nothin really
