I'm imagining someone with a True Water Rune and a Flowing Rune spamming Kindness Rain every turn to make you INVINCIBLE! Sorta.

The whole point of the Sassarai/Luc/Hannukawotsit plotpoint is the fact that you can't hold more than one True Rune. Not even if you're Windy! (Right, Sticks?)

That's a point. It's been so long since I played Suikoden 1 - could you equip multiple runes then? I seem to remember shards, or crystals or something, that gave elemental properties to weapons, but they went on the weapons, right?

Also, Nei with Jongleur + Shield Runes acting as party support is soooooo gooood. You should try it, Fiaryn. Especially good for Chris chapters with the five knights and Nei.

I'm in Chapter 5. I've kind of reached the point where party support is irrelevant because I kill everything in two turns at the most.

I do wish I'd known how good Nei was earlier though.

Well, I do too, I'm talking about boss fights. They typically last 3-4 turns.

Woah. Just got Sasarai in my party and I forgot how he's essentially the best mage ever. His magic stat is preposterous (180 at level 57 fap fap fap) and he's set to go for an A in Pale Gate, A in Water, and an S in Earth. I have him set up with a Flowing, Pale Gate, and Mother Earth Rune. He's the perfect support character, and having an A in Magic Repel really doesn't hurt.

Once he gets True Earth back he'll be even more fantastic.
