Personally, I'm extremely excited about this game. (my pre-order is completely paid off in order to maximize my pick-up to play time) And I'm even more so after seeing this video.
I really hope this sells well and gets a decent MP following myself, I don't need Halo3 or CoD online numbers, but enough to get into games in a reasonable time frame would be enough for me.
After the awesome Rearmed remake this is basically everything I could want in a next gen sequel. Anyone else interested in this?
Certainly am interested in it. We've got a main Bionic Commando thread over here, it just hasn't been updated for a while since the game was a ways from release still.
So since the game's coming out relatively soon (Late May / early June according to wikipedia), should we make this the official BC thread or resurrect the old one? Or leave off having an official thread for a while?

May 19th actually.
And either is fine by me, though the other thread is probably better since it has a more informative OP. Honestly, I just wanted to share my excitement after seeing the above video...

Yeah for you console users. Us on the PC side will be fortunate if they actually stick to June 2nd. :P
@ Peewi: Since this is a Capcom game, I'm guessing it's going to be on Steam, since they announced a while ago that they'd be partnering up with Steam to release their future PC titles on there. It's part of their renewed commitment to the platform.
Really I can't understand why there isn't more excitement for this game. It's taking the Spider-Man swing mechanic and doing it the way that franchise has being failing to for the past few years, and with some really great animation work. The game looks like it'll be awesome.
Hopefully the game works better when you're actually playing it. That guy absolutely sucked at it (which at least he admitted). But the whole opening part where he was trying to zip around looked so messy . . . particularly the mechanic of trying to get on top of something that you are swinging on.
On the plus side, the environments look great and that boss was pretty cool.

The number of Capcom games On Steam is a bit limited and the only recent ones are Age of Booty and Flock. To me it seems unlikely that this will be on Steam when Rearmed isn't.
I have been waiting for this game with bated breath since it's announcement - I'm getting silly, but playable Super Joe would pretty much make this the best game ever for me.

I like these much better than the Giant Bomb stuff from a few days ago. It looks more playable : the guy is able to actually throw things (cars, people) into other things (people, "Standard Biomechs") successfully. Plus he is able to get on top of things much more akin to Spider-man where you get your web(arm) at the sweet spot near the top and just hop right up.
Why game companies don't put more effort to demoing their products correctly (players that suck, bright, low-framerate videos like inFamous has been doing, etc.) I'll never know.

That was largely seemed like an informal thing. The dev was having to concentrate a fair amount on talking out the features of the game, so he was finding it difficult to play properly. He even says so himself. The only real solution would have been to have two guys demoing it, one doing narration, but that would have probably been more awkward to pull off properly.

Ironically just after this I watched the video in the Ghostbusters thread and that was also painful/funny. The guy made catching ghosts look really tedious, getting frustrated, and swinging the 360 controller all over the place. The "dual demo" must be the way to go. Also, play it a few times before recording it.
This game is looking better all the time, loving the music, graphics, and the way it appears it'll feel.
I'm becoming less cautious with every new update.:^:

The two man demo is usually the way games are shown at tradeshows and similar events. This was a bit more informal though, as was already mentioned.

Has anything been said about whether they're using a particular online service on the PC?
If you're interested in that trailer, you might like some of the earlier trailers as well (watch in high-def) :

They're also starting a series of "lab reports" in the run up to the game release. This was just released yesterday.

Capcom always have the most awesome Boss fights.

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
I bought BC: Rearmed about a week ago and it toally blew my mind. I'd never played the original.
Is Mike Patton still voicing Spencer?
