...the name of this old computer game I used to play.
You played a detective in a school, maybe elementary maybe otherwise, it was in black and white, and the villain was a robot. You could beat the game in multiple ways and each different ending had a different robot as the boss.
The more times you beat it, the larger the trophy you had at the end.
One thing I remember was that you could go up to the water fountains and drink from them.
Was this a math game? Because I played a game remarkably similar to the one you're talking about with the same protagonist, and it was a math game with some shooting. Was fun, but I didn't think that was the name.

You are thinking of Super Solvers Outnumbered:
That one was my favorite.
They used to let us play this game in elementary school during computer class. Heck, after the typing lesson, it was all educational games. Computer class ruled.
There was another edutainment adventure game I remember playing in school. You explored a haunted mansion filled with friendly ghosts, picking up items, looking for one ghost in particular. The game ended when you used a key on a windup clown doll to open a secret door - the whole class cheered when we solved it.
And people laughed at me for insisting on having a floppy drive...
edit: OH GOD! My old save file is still on this disc. I had two stars (my little brother old had one)

I remember Gizmos & Gadgets; at one point you had to go around collecting different parts, then choose the best parts to make a model race car to race against the bad guys. If you got the good gears and wheels and such, you won.
