Woot, got diagnosis. Now to stock up on FAKs and begin the Grat Healing. Right now I'm grumbling about Churches only having a 5% chance of finding a FAK. Must find an accesible hospital soon...
I'm infected by Anne General is in ruins. I'm hiding in the building right above Mycock waiting for a heal if that's at all possible.
Infection healed, and I burned the rest of my AP to bring you up as much as I can for now.
That's awesome. I officially owe you a favor at some point in the future.
Any time; I was just using you for the XP.
Coincidentally, I now have enough in the bank to grab ankle grab if I should be zombified, and can start saving up the 100 for construction. Also, you're healed up the rest of the way, even though you tried to get away from me.
Man, I totally forgot about this thread. I took the Museum back to VSB++. I'm out of ammo so I can't clear the zeds out of Anne, but I'll keep checking the 'cades at Mycock, Cread, Latchem, and Perriott to the best of my action points ability.
As a fireman, your Axe is going to be the most reliable weapon for you now. A pistol or shotgun will only have a 5% hit rate, and you'll need to spend a lot of AP searching for them and ammo.
Best thing to do is find a VSB building to spend your nights in, and when you're full of AP, go out and chop Zeds. EXP gain will be slow at first, but once you hit a hundred XP you can pick something that'll make things go faster.
Got myself up to 40% with the axe, so Ican work on some other stuff next. Killed one zombie outside of Anne General and beat down another to mid-HP. Hopefully I can chip away and escape all day.
I remember this game! Played as a Firefighter, started out in the upper right corner while leveling up then started operating behind zombie lines. Wish I could remember my login stuff, but I'm probably a zombie now anyways. Still, might be fun to get back into the game.
I know it's pretty useless but there is a nice satisfaction in axing the crap out of random Zack on the streets with the 40% to hit. I done axed some good 'uns.
Killed the zombie that was in the room with Carcass, dumped him out, and put a few barricade parts up in the building. I couldn't do anymore as I'm out of AP so if someone could go in there and help him out that would be awesome.
Things are definitely different from when I last played. Back then (early 2008 I think) everything was red, zombies were everywhere, and I purposely avoided anything that was powered/EHB just because you knew they would get torn down in the middle of the night. I'd actually hide out in unbarricaded buildings (75% of the buildings) to avoid attracting attention.
Things look a little more cheerful for the survivors now, so I've made a new character for that (also reactivated my zombie account and caused some havoc in Fort Perryn).
Damaged one of the zeds outside of Anne General, then killed the zed outside of Mycock before retreating. Still half a day's AP left, gonna rest and go back at Anne General soon.
If we're leaving buildings designated for entry though, it'd be nice to keep people updated here. Went to Periott yesterday (out of my way) to get into Mycock, and ended up wasting a shitload of AP randomly searching for another building to enter through.
That also got me killed last week. I don't care what building we use for entry, but I think it's only fair to keep the names up.
Someone overbarricaded Perriott. It's an entry point, guys.
Fuck that, there's plenty of ruined buildings you can use to get in.
You want to take a map survey and post where they are? I had to head north slow as fuck this morning trying to find a building to rest for the day in because Perriott was overcaded.
I've just discovered this works on my iPod touch. Joined up as "Dr Grinch", making my way over to Mycock over the next couple of days and getting used to what this game entails.
::edit:: Made my way over to Perriott, just about to run out of Action Points so I guess I'll rest up here for the day. Had an uneventful day of travelling. Hopefully get more of a grasp on things tomorrow. I can see this game devouring my commute.
All the sudden Anne General and Mycock are ghost towns. Went outside looking for a fight and there were no zeds anywhere. Did manage to kill a few outside and pick up construction. Chugging along now, and have a toolbox, so I can repair when necessary.

I started as a fireman, so I only have my axe. Where is the best place to get a gun and some ammo?

Murdered 3 more zombies and headed back to Cread. I might need to go out for some ammo, but I'm not sure if Pole Mall is still infested.
You're all healed up; go forth and kill (and get hurt more so I can get xp from FAKing).
I have a character with everything except Brain Rot, and have done for a while. I just started a second character. With the same surname.

Does encumbrance effect you in any significant way, or do you just have to be below 100%?

We've got a couple of newbies who don't have free running. You'd have them hide in ruined buildings?
