What's the best way to get a clip off a dvd (It's my movie, not bootlegging)

There isn't any copy protection or anything like that since as I mentioned it is mine. It was burned to a dvd with menus and all that jazz about 3 years ago and it's the only copy I have. I just want to know the easiest way to get it into a file format.

    I think Handbrake can do that.
