Windows Mounts My MP3 Player and Won't Quit

When I plug in my Zen Xtra, XP mounts it under My Computer as a "Portable Player" even if I select "No Action" from the menu that pops up when it is connected. I thought it was because I was running WMP11 but I downgraded to WMP9 and nothing changed. This is interfering with the program that I prefer to use to transfer files and I need to know how to make Windows not mount the player, or at the very least unmount it once it is there.
