    Hey...I'm just sayin' it's a good name

Would cause the neighbours amusement when the OP is running around the street at night with a flashlight yelling "CoJoeTheLawyer, come out. where are you boy?"

Hey, I sugguest "CoJoeTheLawyer" for every "Name This Thing" thread in hopes that someday, someone will actually name a pet after me. Well, not after me per se, but you get the idea.

Don't forget, people also ask for help with kids names.

Frankly, I like the idea of a doctor named CojoTheLawyer.

If someone named their child "CoJoeTheLawyer", I would simultaneously be genuinely honored that they named their child after me and absolutely horrified for the child itself.

    That hurts my brain.

My cats are Dinner and Elevensies.
You can't use that, but maybe it'll give you some off the wall thematic idea.
I can't stop you from using it, but warned: Everyone will ask you how you got the names, and what Elevensies means. Even your vet. No matter how many times you've been there.

    What does Elevensies mean?

Firefly names might go down well. My fiance did note that 'Inara is a good name for a girl'. Until I pointed out that eventually you'd have to tell people you named your kids after a hooker from a sci fi show.

Chairman Meow and Fidel Catstro made me laugh... I'd never get away with it though.

Some good suggestions coming through. I knew a guy that called his cat 'The Doctor' running round the street calling "Doctor" was fun.

    Keeping the Warhammer theme:

    Gotrek and Felix.

Gotrek would have to be a orange tabby though.

I actually named my cats Max and Felix, because Gotrek was a little odd. Max being another character from those books :) .

Keeping in the meals theme, Elevensies is the meal hobbits eat before lunch, but after second breakfast.

Also, as to the "my son" and "grandpa" names, we have tons of fun with Dinner.

"Why is Dinner on the table?!"
    "Let's play with Dinner"
    "Dinner bit me!"

    Any of the following:
River, Mal, Serenity, Zoey, Wash, Inara, Jayne, Kayle (If I had cat(s) it would be one of them)

Fuck cat names, at least one of my children will be named River as soon as my womb spawns life.

We named our two cats after Jimmy Stewart and Harvey from the movie Harvey because, at the time, Harvey was much bigger than Jimmy (ah, kittenhood). Now Jimmy is hilariously huge, but we love him anyway.

So yeah, just pick a movie you liked alot and name them after your favorite chars. I guarantee your cats will turn out nothing like them.

It's hard to name something until you actually meet it. I was going to name my cat Indira, which means Beauty, but it didn't fit and I ended up calling her Nona instead.

Nona is one of the three goddess's of destiny.

Also, Chairman Meow is fucking great. Maybe you can comprimise and call the cat C.M?

I suggest at least one nerdy reference per cat name. We like to give our cats full names. Currently I have Yoshimitsu Capoeria Linke (my last name) and Nibbler Genasi Linke running around my house.
    Soulcalibur/ Tekken, Brazilian Dance-fighting.
Futurama (and he likes to nibble, so it worked), Race from D&D.
