and if you're driving on 281 in san antonio, it's a fucking nightmare
hell i consider it a fucking nightmare until you get to marble falls
Yeah, pretty much.
People drive like fucking lunatics here which is compounded by the fact that they apparently can't get through their heads that they are operating a vehicle that at least weighs a ton and is practically engineered for death.
Don't get me started on the goddamn people that find it necessary to ride your ass all the way down the highway.
XBL
but for the majority, there's a reason they're trying to do tollroads and create super highways and all that other bullshit
i mean, i37 isn't bad at all
if people are riding my ass i generally just move out of the way, cause i'm usually going 10 - 15 over, if not more
I usually drive 10 over, so there's no reason why they should be doing it; I just slow down to piss them off.
Also, I live in SA so I'd end up on I-35 anyways to get to Austin.
XBL
driving to austin for fun times, or driving to san antonio for fun times
either way, i'm gonna spend more time than i ever need to on 35 and i fear for my safety
also, i'm gonna be up in austin for lonestar jam at waterloo park on saturday, but i will be with a lady so no chances of me hitting any of you goddamn tea sipping hippies up
give me eastbound 1604/i10 interchange at 5pm anyday
i'm glad we can agree on something
sewell park is something to be enjoyed as well
although it is rather pretty to be out and about in an altered state and watching the city lights and you look to the east and you see flatlands and you look to the west and you got nothing but hill country
You're talking about San Antonio right?
and the streets aren't laid out all that bad
This mentality right here drives me bat shit.
Think about it.
Who are you to dictate how fast someone should go when you're already speeding. You aren't the law, so don't pretend to be it.
It would be like someone going the speed limit and you get on their ass, and instead of moving out of the way, they slow down just to be an immense prick. Shit, you might be in a hurry for something extremely important, but they don't know.
Do the polite thing, and get the fuck out of the way if someone is going faster than you. You can reclaim your position as soon as they pass.
I really don't want to get fucked if I have to break suddenly, thanks.

And so many out of town friends/relatives always want to go to the Riverwalk and get surprised when you're rather indifferent to it.
I rarely have the problem of people being on my ass.
Of course I'm generally bullying cars out of my way because The Charger likes to eat up the road
Also, San Marcos isn't set up that bad. I managed to drive up there, go to the Outlet, then go to some kid's house without any directions at all. I had only been there once before and I was half-asleep at the time so it can't be that hard to navigate.
the only reason i can possibly think of to go downtown is rodeo, niosa, oyster bake, a couple of decent eateries, and i'm sure i'm forgetting some other shit, but that's about it for me.
but i know plenty of decent bars and dancehalls that are not anywhere near the riverwalk that will let you leave with money in your pocket and a good time without sitting next to a stinky green ass river
Yes, yes you are.
That makes no sense. By slowing down, you're getting them further up your ass. Making an unsafe situation worst.
Just move over, that is the safest thing to do.
I'm not saying getting on people's ass is right, I don't condone it, nor do I do it.
I just hate it when people refuse to move over for faster traffic because they don't think anyone should either be going faster than them, or going faster than the posted speed limit.
Well, I've never driven in a city that seemed more poorly laid out than San Marcos.
Man I like the river walk, just for walking on it. It looks nice, that's enough for me.
But I know little about San Antonio. San Marcos however, I visited all the time in college because my friend went to Texas State. I'm sure there's bias on my part because of the selection of venues that my friend would choose, but given the amount of time spent there, I was horrified at how little there was to do, for a college town on the I-35 corridor.
hmm as far as riverwalk type shit goes, couldn't tell you.
but the countyline on i10 every wednesday has free country music(texas country in particular) for free and cheap beers
floores country store out in helotes is good, to eat at or attend a show
rolling oaks is good
edit: t septus, as far as i'm concerned, all there is the square, which sucks, cause i'm not 21 yet, and cheatham street. austin has more shit going on and so does gruene hall down in new braunsfels
It may be the safest thing to do, and I know it sounds like "I'll teach them a lesson" kind of bullshit, but it makes me feel better.
Take that as you will, I just love to see someone visibly get angry at me for refusing to comply with their shitty driving.
XBL
i just gotta say
you make the roads more dangerous for everybody when you piss some asshole off
Eh
If he doesn't want to get pissed off maybe he shouldn't be driving like an asshole.
XBL
but people should also not be dicks about it
but people who drive are rarely rational until they're not driving anymore
this is true.
XBL
just move out of the fucking way and quit distracting yourself and the other driver
i mean, kind of makes sense, doesn't it?
hmmm
Just sayin'
It would be the ideal thing for me to do, but I'm not really known for my logic or anything.

I NEED TO GO TO WALMART TO BUY MY INDUSTRIAL JAR OF BACONAISE
