On last stand, there's a spot on the roof below the lighthouse where, if you remain crouched the entire fucking time, smokers can't get you, and the infected just throw themselves on your shotguns.
It's easy as cake to survive up there, Tanks go down in literally a few seconds.
The most dangerous thing is just going for ammo. But it's easy enough to cover teammates between tanks with pistols or shotgun spam.
I've noticed that in Lighthouse there's a small enclosed area in the generator room between the generator where you start the crescendo and something else, I can't rememver what it is. That's basically the closest thing to a corner in the whole map. Dealing with common infected is basically a nonissue in that spot. The only problem then is to deal with all the tanks.

There is a far superior corner that my team used to get to 9:47. In the house. There is a corner. across from the bathroom. I'm too lazy to explain it further.

My problem is that corner camping gets boring...
For me, playing this the "wrong way" is much more fun to me.

Walls won't get ripped to shreds like cardboard in the pre-existing maps, right? Or have changes been made?

Some changes have been made... I'm not sure if there are new collapseable walls, but closets have been removed for the most part.
I got 9:40 2nd try in survival mode on the docks with my friends (pc version). didn't take screenshots so don't really care if not posted.
But think we got lucky, because we couldn't break 7 minutes after that.. Tried about 4 more times.
We going to try the light house tonight.
Survival is pretty fun
Terminal is slightly broken in that sometimes the tanks that spawn get stuck and then despawn.
Still not easy, but certainly takes the pressure off sometimes.
Same thing happens in Drains. I'm convinced it's buggy. I'll probably be playing more tonight, we'll have to see if it happens in more maps. I mean for Drains we just right in the corner by the switch, there's no way in hell that's us exploiting, that's the game itself bugging out.

I want someone to fix it so that the regular zombies spawn infinitely, but turn special infected off. Just a never ending stream, a million of them.
1: Start any co-op campaign on Normal hosted locally
2: type sv_cheats 1 then director_panic_forever 1 into the console
3: Time yourself
4: ???
5: Profit!!!
Heck, it might even work pre-crescendo start on the survival maps, haven't tested that yet.
Is anyone else a frustrated with Versus as I am? I feel as though as soon we kill one group of special infected there's another group that shows up within 3 seconds. It makes coming up with strategies hard as hell.
In order to get on this list, you must add "A PA L4D Group" to your Flist. I'll be doing these periodically, I dunno if its easier this way for Zombie or not.
It seems most of the 360 players were paying VS last night, so not a lot of action. Some good times tho.
Lighthouse: A lot of bronzes, but nothing spectacular... yet.
Generator Room: I still say the upstairs walkway is the best spot.
The Hospital: Two silvers from different runs it looks like.
The Warehouse: So either P0nd4sh did this solo or did it with a pub. I'm not sure which is more impressive.
not really. Sometimes it happens (mainly if you get boomed, and don't kill the boomer right away) but overall not really. If you stick together hunters and smokers are barely anything more then a minor nuisance (except in certain parts, where smokers can drag you off a roof, or smokers can pounce from really high).
Also your group may just be moving too slow. You don't HAVE to wait until all the boomer goo is off of you before you move, after the main horde is killed off, you should move (usually still have a few seconds left of goo on you). While moving you will still have some straggler zombies, but just kill them while moving. If things get REALLY bad (everyone puken on, 2 people huntered 1 smokered and tank music starts) then use an item ASAP pipe/moly and get people freed. The longer someone has a hbunter on them or smoker, the more dmg they take as well as not helping out the group by clearing zombies
And if you see somone else puked on, Help them out!! the sooner you kill the horde the sooner you can get moving.

The biggest part of it is not knowing where all the best attack spots are yet.
Once we've had practice in DA and DT on both sides, we'll learn all the spots and develop new strategies for dealing with player-controlled infected.

That's true, but for me it seems that the biggest part is movement. After you kill the special infected they will have around a 30 second respawn time. You need to haul ass in that time and not hang around popping regular infected. If you do that, then by the time you've cleared the area the special infected have respawned and the whole cycle gets to repeat again.

thanks for posting those kris, i seem to have lost my digital camera for the moment.
will be on again today and into the night for moar awesomeness.
survival is really quite good once you get into the groove, mucho fun.
The crane event seems fairly easy to abuse. There is a spot you can stand in where you can get the special infected to spawn in the apartment around 90% of the time and tanks are too dumb to get out.
there is also a spot where you can stand where nobody can get to you besides a few easy smokers
Moving all the explosives into the spiral staircase room on Lighthouse and meticulously placing them on the shelves and just waiting for something to go wrong is the best part of Survival.

We did this in the room where you start the panic in Warehouse. Someone blew up one shelf's worth of tanks but the other shelves never ignited.

I can't recall, do tanks in co-op tend to punch other special infected off of you? I survived all alone for another 30 seconds or so last night when the tank kept punching every smoker and hunter off of me.

We got just almost.

Sooooo close to gold.
I wouldn't call suviving for a minute in a corner on your own and blocking like 4 pouncing hunters (even through luck) a failure. :P
You're right.
It's an epic failure :P
Err, easy mode?
