    The pluralistic philosophy departments (departments focus on both continental and analytic philosophy) tend to be quite hard and small in class size, so they're really hard to get into this year with so many people trying to avoid unemployment, and they also have less aid. So if i have to defer, I'll probably get a MA in math.

    Though it will be something like metamathematics or mathematical logic or something like that, because I don't even know calculus or anything beyond euclidean geometry. But still

    I can be a mathematician and a philosopher.

    I can do math once I've crammed it into my head.

    By crammed I mean broken down all those dense motherfucking symbols and slammed what they mean into me.

    I'm very bad at learning new symbols.

    Once I do get them though it's gravy and roses. But that's a shitload of upfront effort for every single maths course I take.

    And that's my one allowed (public) post for this break. Back to it!
