New Love Video - Awaiting Dwarf Fortress Mod
Posts
how the computer does all this as well on the fly to protect itself.
pretty exciting.
It's like Garry's Mod Wiremod, but not a total clusterfuck!
It looks liek it's shaping up to be a 3D version of Little Big Planet.. just and MMO.... where you kill stuff.... ok nevermind
Even more, the game looks amazing, the development software he's using looks amazing, and the ideas he's developing with I think are important to the industry. Even if Love isn't a runaway success, I think his development tools will earn bread for a long time to come. The focus on procedural generation is something I've been wanting to happen for a long time to help the content generation vs player scheme in the least artificial way. Finally, the way he's approaching graphics is something that needs to happen, if not in huge blockbuster titles (where I think it could be useful also), then in the indie scene. The game itself is low poly and vaguely textured, and instead uses visual effects to get across the real-appearance of the game.

I agree with piL on pretty much everything. I hope the game sees a lot of Love.
