The best part of this game was the old timer at the beginning. Actually that may have been Mad Dog McCree 2, I don't even remember. I just remember him saying, "Now go geet'em!"
I think it was PC Gamer that gave this unbelievably horrible piece of shit a 6% out of 100.
Because maybe the PC version has a mouse instead of a light gun. But PC gamer was full of idiots. I canceled my subscription after awhile because i didn't care to read them at all.
So wait, half the people are saying it's awesome and half say it sucks.
I can see FMV being limited in the amount of actual enemies you have to kill, you can't exactly do it like Umbrella Chronicles. And I could understand poor reviews if it had bad load times or terrible hit detection, but those things can be fixed.

*shrug* All I know is that I've played it with both a light gun and a mouse and I still thought that a 6% was being unreasonably generous. I think the only light gun game I've disliked even more than this was Space Pirates.

Some people are looking for depth in this game. There isn't any. From an SS-rank to An F rank this game is like a D minus minus. Barely passing only because of the hilarity of the bad FMV and nostalgia. If you played it along time ago, it may be worth getting again. If you didn't its not going to be enjoyable.

So what was the issue with this game?
I said it was hard. I didn't say it sucked.
The game is all about quick draw and aim. If theyre smart, they'll have the game sense when the wiimote is aimed down, and have the calibration properties of most sega shooters for aim.
Mad Dog was a quick bastard, and if you drew your gun early in the arcade, automatic yellah belly, and you lost the round
FMV games fucking rule, so hopefully this does well. I would love to see a parade of D-list actors in a new round of FMV games. Joss Whedon should make an FMV game.
The fuck? I half expect this to be some kind of hoax. Mad Dog McCree is a Western, and that's all it had going for it.
Without making this a lolwii post, I think the Wii might be a good fit for FMV games. I'm with Saddler; get some decent actors, a good enough script, and there might be something to it. FMV games don't have to be horrible, they just were because 20 years ago they had no budget at all. Put the average budget of a game these days into actors and special effects, and it might be terrible.

Honestly, FMV doesn't have to automatically mean shit. Wing Commander 3 and 4 were epic, probably because they hired real actors and put some serious budget behind them. The Pandora Directive is one of my favorite games of all time and it's an FMV game. In fact the last three Tex Murphy games were all FMV games and they rocked.

The only problem is that I don't have a Wii
Well, '90.
Oh man.
Mad Doc McRee is one of the games that always comes up in the 'worst. game. ever.' threads.
Isn't it a bit soon for this kind of shovelware to be showing up on the Wii?

edit: you know someone at Nintendo is reading this thread while hastily scribbling out half their E3 presentation.

I mean, I'm sad enough to own them for the Mega CD but that doesn't work anymore
