Good jazzed-up classical music

Hello all. I think that by now everyone has seen this video on Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=by8oyJztzwo

From link to link, I went from that Youtube to this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CHwQ9Z0774

Which made me want to look out for more stuff of the sort.

I really like classical music being given a more modern treatment (like some of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra stuff). I've been trying to find more, possibly with real instruments (not the midi playing in that Youtube video), and encoded in a format I can bring on my iPod.

So far I know of Bond (it's ok but not all that) and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

So, are there any bands or songs I should be looking for out there for that? I'd like any classic music but my favorites are below:

- Hungarian Rhapsody #2 - Franz List
- Canon - Pachelbel
- Poet and Peasant Overture - Franz Von Suppé
- Hungarian Dance #5 - Brahms
- Moonlight Sonata movement 3 - Beethoven
- Bolero - Ravel
- William Tell Overture - Rossini
- Four Seasons, Winter - Vivaldi
- Fur Elise - Beetoven

(PS: I don't need anyone telling me that modernized classic music is crap and music rape, I like both the original classic masterpiece and their modernized counterparts)

Might not be specifically what you're looking for, but I love it.

This hiphop guy, buck 65, did a concert with Symphony Nova Scotia. It's avaliable on http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/concerts/20080418bucks to stream.

I really like all his songs, but I guess if you were only going to listen to two...Way Back When and Cries A Girl

King Crimson performed a few adaptations of material by Bartok, Holst, Ravel, and (I think) Shostakovich back in the 70's. However, they were often (if not always) interpolated into larger compositions/improvisations, so I'm not sure how relevant it is.

I think they might've have done a full take of "Mars, the Bringer of War" though. I just don't remember what release it was on.

They did a bunch of riffs on it...it was released as "The Devil's Triangle" on In the Wake of Poseidon.

Edit: You might want to try looking into ES Posthumus or bond (the latter of which I think did a variation on Canon D, although I cannot recall the track name off the top of my head. It might have been called Midnight Garden). Vanessa-Mae may also pique your interest.
