Laptop problem (Vaio)

So yesterday I was playing city of villains and I accidentally brushed the S1 button at the top of my laptop. For reasons unknown to science this completely locked up my keyboard and mouse, so I performed a hard reset. When I restarted, my USB was totally fucked. It reports every device as "device not recognised" up to and including the built in fingerprint sensor, so no mouse will work (I've tried a few). It also repeatedly makes the "device plugged in" noise followed by the "device unplugged" noise about every ten seconds. I've tried system restore and reinstalling my chipset drivers. I'm kind of stuck now. Plz help

    Push the button again?

Uh.... does the keyboard work at all or is to totally nonfunctional too? If it does work, maybe you have something weird going on with the function key. There may be a key combo to switch to an outside keyboard or some such.

Maybe you knocked something loose on the inside. You could take all the screws out of the bottom and look.

WTF do those buttons even do? I have pressed them before and messed up my keyboard in a different way.

The keyboard now works fine, it's just the entire USB function of the keyboard that's fucked. It's hard to imagine that I could possibly have pushed the button hard enough to have knocked something loose

I know you can fix some desktop USB issues by completely disconnecting all power for a few seconds.

Maybe try pulling the battery for a bit?
