Defective DVD Return and Don't Copy That Floppy

Okay, I essentially have two unrelated questions I would like to ask the help/advice brain sphere.

One. I order my first dvds ever (mid-March) from Amazon.com. I am now the proud frakkin owner of the first three seasons of Battlestar Galactica. Unfortunately, one of the Season 2 dvds has a gash all around and skips during one of the episodes. Do I need to contact Amazon and attempt a return of the dvd, or do I need to contact Universal Studios?

Second. I have been wanting to show my students some of the old anti-piracy movies that were released in the 90s. I can remember Don't Copy That Floppy, but there was another video where two kids make their own game, get it published, and then end up heading to the bad part of town to find out where it got pirated when sales are terrible. I think the movie included some commentary from big name programmers at the time, but its all really foggy at this point. Does anyone have a clue what the videos name was?

I have no idea about the piracy videos, but on the Battlestar Galactica, get in touch with Amazon assuming that you didn't buy it off of market place.

If you bought it around mid-March, you may need to go through Universal.
