the honeycomb one: exactly what a friend of mine's kitchen looked like. her parents repainted it and we dubbed it the wall-barf room.
the "talk much" dining room looks eerily similar to my kitchen when i lived with my mom. chair cushions and all. the balcony was where that window is, though.
As a teen, I'm ashamed to admit that I sponge-painted a darker blue over an eggshell blue
Wallpapers and colours can look wonderful if they're not too overbearing. My sister had a rather lovely purple room, with dark purple on the smallest wall, and pale green tiles sparingly mixed in with the white and purple ones
My aunt has a lot of William Morris prints in her house, but it's extremely tastefully done
My room is a spartan place for sleeping and sex. I am never in it for any other reason.
School work? Library or a friends place or even a coffee shop.
Video Games? Living room area with buddies
Reading? Outside on the balcony with a cigarette and the wind.
It keeps me sane.
See, our 'room' (in the OP) is our whole apartment, pretty much
Even the kitchen doesn't have an actual door separating it; just an archway
I really would love to have a separate living room, as I think having a computer/TV in the bedroom disrupts sleeping, but as we live in the Bay Area that's not happening anytime soon

That thing was almost the undoing of a nice little thing I've got going here. They tell you that you need 2 people to put it together, they fail to tell you that, oh hey, you shouldn't be sleeping with the other person. Cause once its done? Yea, you're not going to be for a bit.
Haha yeah, putting it together was absurdly frustrating.
Mori and I don't really get in each other's way, though
We haven't had a clash of personal space yet.
And it is pretty much the cheapest rent you can find in the city, with lovely landlords, so we'll stay here until we start a family, I imagine

Man, I can't wait until I get to move into a place using real people money. I'll have a lady living with me, so the decor won't be as unrelentingly awesome, but still. Separate rooms for eating, sleeping, and working. A bathroom that doesn't look like it was torn out of an RV. A fucking dishwasher.

that's fucked up, bro
Smart thing to do is to go through that hole instead.

Looks just like California!
It's still odd to me to drive around and see palm trees next to an oak tree next to a line of cypress trees

That's small fries mah boy. There's far worse things you could do decor wise.
It almost seems like 1/2 of your apartment could fit into my room. my room is 12ft by 14ft not including my own bath and huge closet.
Haha yeah, putting it together was absurdly frustrating.
More like 3/4 of our apartment!
I might take pics later if I actually get to organizing my room. There is still stuff everywhere from moving.
