Playstation 3: 80 gigs vs 160

To preface this, Dell is selling the PS3s cheap until tomorrow on their webstore. $300 for the 80 gig, $425 for the 160 gig with free ground shipping on both.

I don't know if this should be here or the games forum, but this is pretty short and sweet. Is there much practicality to getting the 160 gig PS3 if I don't plan to downloading movies or TV shows to it? I know the 160 comes with Drake's Fortune so that negates about 50ish of the $125 difference.

Thanks!

Buy the 80 GB, then buy this.

Or, you know, whatever size you want. Then throw the 80 GB drive in a cheap enclosure or something. Updating the PS3's hard drive is ridiculously easy.

Paying $120 more for 80 GB is crazy when you can buy a 500 GB drive for that much.

Go for the 80. I have an original 60, and have yet to have a space issue. I also have 10GB dedicated to a linux install I don't use, and several games optionally installed to the the hard drive. You can always buy any laptop harddrive to upgrade it yourself, it's really simple. And Uncharted can be had cheaper than $50.

Thanks guys. I just ordered the 80 gig PS3 with Metal Gear 4 for a total of $366. 25 hours ago I was planning to spend $300 on just the system. :D
