Shadow Physics - The game where light and shadows are your tools

This is an indie game that is still in development. It's a 2D side scroller where you use light and shadows to change how you progress in the level. You have to watch the video to completely understand what I mean:

This is a really fucking cool idea, and I hope they get really creative with it. This could be all kinds of fun.

Reminds me a little of Echochrome. Looks cool though, I'd play it.

Hmm. I recently heard some people talking about this. It's good to finally see this. There are some really neat mechanics there.
Huh, it is like I imagined. Same colours too (weird). But the multiple lights/shadows....that's a trip.
    ENEMIES?

In the video it shows an enemy. Doesn't say if they can be killed or not.

I love the part where he says they can have blue light for swimming and whatnot. Having different colours and shit that do different things on top of the shadows manipulating the environment is really fucking cool.

He says right in the video that you crush enemies just like you can be crushed by a shadow.

This looks really awesome. First indy thing in a while that's caught my eye.

Definitely sounds like a new "central mechanic" game, like Braid. On the one hand, these things are really inventive and cool--on the other hand, it does feel like they're riding a lot on the wave of their novelty, and they're not the sort of concept an entire genre is going to grow out of. I'll be keeping an eye on this, in any case.

Moving the light source hn? That might make some puzzles way too easy, or just overwhelm you with possibilities... Looks good though.

Very interesting, but it reminds me a bit of this:

I don't think any of those submitted prototypes approached shadows-as-navigation-space in this way, turning the world sideways. Feels innovative and interesting.

Fantastic idea, I love games where developers think outside the box.
