A co-op tower defense game for the PS3 with light RTS elements. You fly around a ship, placing towers to defend your base. Additionally, you can build unit-producing structures and save up units to go rush the enemy base. If enough units make it back to the enemy's home square, their base vaporizes in a fiery explosion and you win.
What makes it special?- It's fun to fly your little ship around. It's quite fast and responsive.
- The way you get money for towers isn't just collecting drops from killed baddies, it's by pulling asteroids to your towers with your ship and collecting they money after they've been blown to dust. This makes your ship feel like a fun addition to the game rather than a burdensome replacement for a mouse cursor.
- You can block enemies with tower mazes and a there's a cool feature that shows the path enemies will take to get to your base.
- Co-op is implemented gracefully. You can upgrade/recycle each other's towers and heal from each other's home nodes. You can also have up to 3 players.
- Your towers can fire at enemy towers and you can place buildings like gateways that allow your units to pass but block enemy units. This leads to crazy stuff like knocking out the back of an enemy base with long range towers, putting in gateways to stop them from rebuilding and bypassing their entire tower corridor with light units.
This multi-focus approach works great in co-op. You can split up responsibilities and have one person working on a sneaky plan to crush the enemy while the other tends to the defensive towers.
How do I get it?

The whole build and send enemies back at your base thing sounds gimmicky but it actually is fun and does add a lot to it.
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
Gotten to like level 20 of the campaign. Quite satisfying to see your army march in and blow their base up.
