Free game orchestra concert. University of Maryland, Recordings posted!
There's going to be a free video game orchestra concert next saturday at college park. They're going to be playing stuff like metal gear, halo, katamari, and smash bros. It's supposed to be at 3pm dekelboum concert hall in the CSPAC. Since it's in the middle of the afternoon, it seems like it won't interfere with anything for me, so I'm going to hit it up. Anyone else game?
Edit: No I'm wrong. They won't be allowing camcorders in, so we'll have to rely on the "official" recordings. They're very good about posting them though, I'll make sure to link them the second they're up.
It seems like it's a long walk from the metro station back to campus, but if you're cool with that, then go for it. I'll be parking in one of the nearby lots since I'm sure it's not AS crowded on saturday as a weekday.
I haven't logged into my account in years, but I was lurking around.
I noticed that this thread wasn't getting a lot of play; those recordings are very much worth a listen. Really good list of compositions, too, I think.

No offense but I'd rather go see a symphony than hang around a bunch of smelly mouth breathers at Gamesday.

Edit: Actually, looking at their website, they may have them up eventually.
Have a good time though, Nick.

It went pretty great! They filled up the hall and put on a hell of a show. A shame you missed it.
