CIV. IV and VISTA SP1 issues

Just got a new PC and Installed CIV. IV but got this pop up when launching:

Civilization 4 has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows (Windows Vista SP1) and might not run as expected...

So I ran it anyway and there didn't seem to be any issue that I could see, just wondering if anyone knows what this is about. Also In the CIV. IV Main Menu I get this pop up:

You have selected an unusable voice capture device. Voice capture disabled.

    Yeah, I got that 'warning' on my Vista system and just ignored it. Runs perfectly.

    On the compatibility, I think there was a patch on the website to address the issue. I remember that I don't get the error anymore, but I might've just ignored it.

    voice capture device is same here, I just click okay and play on.

    I downloaded it off Steam and haven't experience that on Vista 64 SP1, so maybe make sure you have the latest version. I do have the voice compatibility message pop up, but I just ignore that.
