So I recently purchased Serenity on DVD as I haven't watched it since it was released at the cinema. I saw Serenity before I watched Firefly. After I watched Firefly, I decided that Firefly was better than Serenity.
But man, the other night I re-watched Serenity and it is the best.
I think it's a serious contender for my favourite sci-fi film, along with The Empire Strikes Back. I loved every minute of it.
I also have re-ignited my crush for Summer Glau. Those legs.

but I still think Nathan Fillion's role as Captain Hammer overshadows his work as Mal Reynolds.
in fact I loved everything about Dr. Horrible and can only think about it now.
That's pretty much it, a cool show. I can recommend it to people, but I'm really not quite sure how people obsess over it like they do.
"Gorram" pisses me off though and I will kill every person I hear say it. Two times. So does "frak" from BSG. Either put your show on HBO, find your way around the curse words through creative writing, or just bleep them out (Southland-style!).

I guess if you ultimately recognize Mal as a brown-coated individual, you could figure that out. But that's really it.

Eh. I love Firefly and Serenity both, but I'm okay with the fact that they're over. Serenity might not have been the ideal way to close up the series, but we got all the loose ends tied up, and anything more would just be disjointed. Something good with a satisfying arc that actually ends isn't a tragedy, it's a story.
Besides, after all the shit that went down in the film, too many of the things that made the show great would be gone. Let it rest.

Same thing with the new Battlestar. I mean it was alright I guess... I just didn't see what the big deal was.
I was a big fan of the first 5 or so seasons of SG1 however. But once Richard Dean Anderson became a supporting cast member it kinda tapered off.
