Bizzare Facebook Issue

Just a quick one... I have several people blocked on Facebook and just last week posts by this one girl I'd really, really rather not see (long story) are showing up again. She doesn't appear in any searches, nor shows up in other users' friends lists (when I know she's on them), it's only her wall posts or comments that appear. She is still blocked, and I've tried unblocking and blocking again to no effect. Her name is grayed out only when I have her blocked.

Anything I can do about this? It pretty much messes me up for the whole day when I see her name alone (long story), and I'd like to know if this is a common bug that's being addressed. Already filed a bug report. Thanks for any advice...

    Facebook randomly glitches out from server-side issues occasionally. When I first got a digital camera, it was in the middle of not letting random users post photos. These things usually get fixed decently quickly.

    Have you tried using the Hide button on newsfeed items?

    Yeah, everything is hidden now... Since they implemented the new layout you are not able hide the "highlights" on the right hand side, which is annoying. At any rate it just catches me off guard.

    I guess this can be locked/deleted.

    Just as an interesting update, I've found a way to hide the "highlights" section on main Facebook page. Using the Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox with the "New Facebook - Remove Highlights and Left Filters" script you can reliably hide anything else you want on the page. There are other scripts, but they seem to work only half the time. Thought it was something worth sharing, as I'm sure there are other reasons to hide it.

    Also, Facebook has gotten in touch with me about the bug.

    This can be locked now.
