So this morning I got in my Jeep to go to work, but my stereo wasn't putting out any sound. Nothing from the tuner, CD player, or iPod. I shut it off and continued driving, then turned it back on maybe 15-20 minutes later and just decided to leave it on in case maybe it would start working again. In a few minutes sound came back, it started off a bit garbled but then sounded fine.
Does something like this have to do with cold weather and an amp? I got the amp installed over the summer so this is the first winter with it. I think it's a new stereo since last winter (Dual upgraded to Alpine), but it didn't happen with my old stereo.
So yeah, is it the amp that just has to warm up or something?
The same thing happened briefly when I left work tonight, it came on right away but was slightly garbled. It didn't last very long though. Temperature was probably in the 30's.
