My not-very-tech-savvy mother does a bit of selling on eBay, and thus takes photos which need to be edited simply before putting them up. Up until now she's been using a free program which came with our film developer, called "Boots Photo Editor". She's been amazingly happy with using this and is loathe to use anything else, which puts us in a predicament once she had a new laptop.
Today we got a film developed and the photos put onto CD, hoping to just install the software on autorun as the CD instructions say. However autorun only asks what program I want to use to open the CD and examining the CD contents only shows two folders of photos and a file called CD.ID. I can't get this bloody program to install for the life of me, nor can I seem to do anything with the .ID file. I've tried it on both her and my laptops (XP and Vista) with no result.
Can anyone shed some light on how to get the install to run, or alternatively suggest a very user-friendly photo editing program? She hates the ones I've tried showing her and she's getting fed up of having to use her slow old laptop for the photo editing Thanks!
