Multiple VOB Files to Single DVD

So I had a friend who recorded some videos on tapes and then took them to a local video place and they put them of DVD for them. They had 3 tapes so the video place put them on 3 DVDs.

I need to combine the DVDs into one. I don't care if there are separate entries in a menu or all the files simply play one after the other.

Currently when I browse each DVD I have a VIDEO_TS folder with something like:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO

So the VOB is basically a specific type of mpeg2 file, I get that. The IFO is the menu?

Regardless I have the same thing on each dvd except two of them have two VOB files, bringing the total to 5 VOB files I need to place on one dvd and have them all playable when stuck in a dvd player.

Whats the easiest free way to do this?

Ummm...i might be wrong here, but it seems pretty straight forward. Use Nero Express if you just throw them all to get burned under the DVD-Video file option, they should burn into one movie with chapters.

Ok so most of the files have the same names since they're on separate DVDs. If I take all the VOB files and set their file names up as VTS_01_1.VOB ... _2, _3, _4, _5 and throw them in nero express as DVD-Video files and hit next, I get this error:
"DVD-Video files complance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?"
I get this because there are no .bup or .ifo files with the .vob files and if I ignore the warning then the dvd just opens up like a data DVD and doesn't autoplay. Each DVD had it's own set so I can't throw them ALL in there (all named the same), and if I pick the first set and put them in then the first vob plays and none of the others do.

So I would think I need to create a new .ifo or edit the first one to include the other files. I did some google searching and most everything I come up with has no explaination of how to actually use the programs they recommend and are all dated from '02-'05 and I know it has got to be easier nowadays.
