End War Says They Can't Hear Me

So I just got End War in the mail and would like to play, but neither of my mics seem to work with it as every time I hold down the trigger, talk, shout, or anything the tutorial says I'm too quiet and doesn't even register the sound. I'm using these two mics for reference:

As far as I can tell the white one wasn't muted and the Halo one doesn't even have a mute button. I can say they lay in a box for a year or so not being used if that might affect them. Any suggestions?

Well dude looks like you're trying to use XBOX mics for an X360 game. Maybe try borrowing a friend's 360 mic and see if that helps? Perhaps the older mics don't "speak" as loud, digitally, and the "game" can't hear you as loudly.

Just a theory. I'd try to borrow someone's mic before buying a new one though!

I didn't know there was a difference in them.

God fucking dammit. Thread solved while I hunt down the jackass whose idea it was to go from 1.5 to 2.5.

To be fair, there are adapters for using Xbox mics on the 360, On the other hand, just getting a 360 mic might be cheaper (although the 360 mics aren't nearly as nice as the Halo Plantronics that they put out).
