im looking into getting a new monitor, and im going to be getting it most likely online.
right now i have a 17in (laptop) widescreen monitor, and a 19in standard screen dell monitor, the dell is an LCD.
before ordering one of these screens i'd like to be able to visualize the size, so my question is where i can find the sizes for monitors (height and width, and maybe square inches)
this way i can measure it out and compare it (as a 19in standard is taller than a 19in widescreen)
the sizes im looking at are both 22 and 24in monitors. both in widescreen.
These are 16:10 ratios so I assume they are correct. Upon doing more math wide screen LCDs appear to measure the same way that normal LCDs do, that is from the bottom corner to the opposite corner on the top. So for a 22" I think its H: 18.6" and V: 11.7"
Correct, Pythagoras ftw. You should've just given him the formula though. I bet he was one of the kids that used to complain in math class, "I'm never gonna need to know this in real life!"
