Valvetestapp in Steam

So I just got a review code for Killing Floor, and in addition to the game itself and the beta version of the game, it seems to have installed something called "Valvetestapp1260", which is in my games list, and won't let me delete it. It's only 40mb.
When I attempt to run it, Steam says "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time"
I googled a bit, and I can only see references to valvetestapp being used by pirates with hacked Steam clients or something.
I guess I am a little concerned, I don't want to get my Steam account in trouble. But mainly it just looks messy.
Also, despite the game having released now, I still have the beta in my games list.
Any suggestions before I email Valve?
