Older Russian Children's Cartoon - Solved

I'm trying to recall the name of a certain Russian children's cartoon, probably from the early 1990's ...

Anyways, the characters look like little dragons or cows or something of the like, with small ears and big noses/mouths. They also make plush toys for these characters.

I wish I had more to go off of, but that is all I can tell you. Anyone who can get me the name of the show/animal/character/etc. is my hero.

[update] In English, it sounds (phonetically) like moomy-troll.

[update2] Ah, it is Moomintroll, and it is from Finland, my bad.

I got what I needed; lock this I suppose.
