Photoshop CS2 problem

Capncrunch7Capncrunch7 Registered User regular
I've been using Photoshop CS2 on my powerbook for 3 years now, and today it started misbehaving. The toolbar has vanished, and been replaced by a small box containing the Photoshop logo. Clicking that box takes me to the webpage for ordering CS4. Can anyone offer any insights as to what the hell happened here?

Window > Workspace > Reset Pallet Locations

Unless you mean that the toolbox has just been collapsed, in which case double click the thin bar above the photoshop logo should expand the toolbox again.

hold down Command-Option-Shift while starting the program. this will reset your preferences. this will solve 90% of all adobe/mac issues regarding the ui. sometimes the preferences files get corrupted and will completely bork the program.

Which is rather often with CS2 on a Mac. My palette settings get screwed up every other time I load photoshop or illustrator. F-ing annoying. Glad I'm switching to CS4 once I get my new setup.

That was it! Thanks a lot.
