These dang old allergies

vitamins aren't going to help with allergies. it's not an immune deficiency, it's your immune system working against things that it shouldn't
Isn't that called an auto-immune disease?
Allergy is a disorder of the immune system often also referred to as atopy. Allergic reactions occur to normally harmless environmental substances known as allergens; these reactions are acquired, predictable, and rapid. Strictly, allergy is one of four forms of hypersensitivity and is called type I (or immediate) hypersensitivity. It is characterized by excessive activation of certain white blood cells called mast cells and basophils by a type of antibody known as IgE, resulting in an extreme inflammatory response.
edit: It's different from an auto-immune disease because it's triggering reactions, rather than destroying things on a cellular level.
I wouldn't know, as I have no known allergies. Additionally, I am a member of the 30% or so of the population resistant or immune to urushiol oil (poison Ivy/Oak).

It's not so much working against things that it shouldn't, it's just overreacting to common stuff. Where a normal nose would be like "Oh hey, pet dander or whatever, I'll make some mucus and get some cillia on that shit," the nose of a person with an allergy reacts more like Madagascar in Pandemic.
"SHUT DOWN THE FUCKING PORTS AND BURN EVERYTHING THAT MOVES"
go to the doctor, find out what you're allergic to, and get some real allergy medicine
You can get a cool allergy test!
this is a lie it is not cool!
basically, they will have these plastic cone things that they push against your arm. It doesn't hurt, it feels like pushing a ballpoint pen into your skin.
BUT! there are dozens of them, and each one has a specific thing to be allergic to (in terms of dust/dander/weeds) and every push makes an irritated reaction on your arm. If you react too much they have to split up the tests and you get to do it twice!
(I am allergic to everything sneezy related, but no food allergies thank jesus)
If you're hacking up green shit and are sore, you've got more than just allergies.
You probably figured that out already, I don't know. Point is that I'm doing the same thing right now, but last night I took two Echinacea (however you spell that), and my sore throat went away overnight. Still sneezing and gross, but I don't hurt anymore.

Haha, yeah, it kind of sucks. When I didn't react to stuff on my arm, they had to do a whole new set of my back! Apparently my allergies went away at some point in the last few years, which is really weird. Staying out of smoky bars has helped a bunch with my sinuses.

Man that sounds like so much effort
I guess now that I've built up like three seperate medical concerns that equals one doctor visit
